Dos titellaires (Judy i Punch) intenten tornar a enfilar-se al camí de l'èxit. I ho aconseguiran al poble de Seaside, on tornaran a posar en boca de tothom el seu espectacle de titelles, principalment gràcies a les fantasioses habilitats de la Judy en aquest món.

El seu company, però, lluny d'estar-ne satisfet portarà la seva ambició combinada amb l'alcohol a sobrepassar límits fins al punt de causar una tragèdia... de la qual Judy se'n voldrà venjar.
