Llach – Gener 76 a Font-rubí

In January 2026, fifty years have passed since Lluís Llach’s historic concerts at the Palau dels Esports in Barcelona — performances that went far beyond music to become a landmark of freedom, commitment and collective hope, later giving rise to the album Barcelona Gener 76.

Half a century later, we will relive that spirit with the concert “Llach – Gener 76”, under the musical direction of Manel Camp, author of the original arrangements for the 1976 concerts. His involvement ensures a direct connection with the sound of that period, while offering a subtle adaptation to today’s musical sensibilities.

The project will also feature Santi Arisa, drummer of the original band that accompanied Llach in 1976. Together, they will bring back the memory of that ensemble — which also included Laura Almerich, Tete Matutano, Quique Cano and Quico Romeu — in a new scenic and musical context.

The line-up is completed by Borja Penalba on guitars and vocals, Jordi Gas on bass and vocals, Anna Bosch on keyboards and Sofia Intrago on flute. The lead voices will be Gemma Humet and Joan Reig — Els Pets, Mesclat… — both well-known admirers of Llach’s work, who will reinterpret with respect, sensitivity and strength the same repertoire that Lluís Llach performed fifty years ago at the Palau dels Esports.

The concert will take place on Friday, 7 August, at 10:30 pm, at the Pista Poliesportiva de Guardiola de Font-rubí.
