The Castle of Castelldefels or Castell de Fels is the castle of the municipality of Castelldefels (Baix Llobregat) declared a cultural asset of national interest. It rises to an altitude of 60 m above sea level and above the town to which it has given its name. It is located at the end of a small mountain range, oriented from southwest to northeast, and parallel to the coastline.
Was built on what was once an Iberian town, and later a Roman town, giving way to the construction of the castle in the 16th century. With the disappearance of piracy, and the absence of defensive need, the castle was abandon, and in 1883, the castle was in ruins.
In 1897, the banker Manuel Girona commissioned the architect Enric Sagner to restore the castle of Castelldefels. The current wall of the castle and its towers are from this period.
